The small Sacred Bird and Butterfly Square Bowl is a unique shape that expresses excellent craftsmanship. Ideal for the dinner table, this bowl can be used to serve up vegetables or fruit. It is part of the famed Chinese export pattern of ca. 1800, featuring traditional motifs of birds, butterflies, and flowers in traditional Chinese orange and gold colors. The Chinese word for butterfly, tieh, conveys the wish for a long, happy life. Historic Charleston offers authentic reproductions of the pattern ca. 1800-1810. This dish is also dishwasher safe.
